This is my selection of a 25 member all-time team for the club. The number 25 was chosen because it is the official squad size for the Champions' League.

The club was established in 1932 as Eastern Athletic Association. During the 1990's, the club dominated the Hong Kong League, known as the "Eastern Dynasty". In 2016, Eastern won the 2015–16 Hong Kong Premier League under the guidance of Chan Yuen-ting. With Eastern's victory, the club became the first men's professional association football team to win a domestic, top flight championship under the management of a woman.

GK: Yapp Hung Fai 葉鴻輝 (Hong Kong)
Yapp is the current caption of the Hong Kong National Team. He previous played with Pegasus FC, South China and now Eastern.

GK: Roger Hansbury 漢斯貝利 (England)
He started his career with Norwich City, for whom he made 78 league appearances between 1974 and 1981, and spent spells on loan at Bolton Wanderers, Cambridge United and Orient. In 1981, he moved to Hong Kong in 1981 to play for Eastern AA.[ He returned to England in 1983 and played for Burnley, Cambridge United, Birmingham City, Sheffield United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Colchester United, and finally Cardiff City.
GK: Iain Hesford希福特 (England)
Hesford He played as a goalkeeper for teams including Blackpool, Eastern, Sunderland and South China. In Hong Kong, he was voted the best Foreign Player in 1992 and was voted into the Team of the Season 3 times. He represented England at the Under 21 level.
RB: Cheung Chi Tak 張志德 (Hong Kong)
He made his professional debut in 1977 with Hong Kong Rangers FC. When his club went down to 2nd division in 1978, he moved to Caroline Hill. In 1981, he moved to Eastern AA and then to South China AA in 1984. In 1987, he moved to Lai Sun. His last move was to Instant-Dict FC in 1991. He retired in 1997.
CB: Ko Po Keung 高寶強 (Hong Kong)
He was a star player in the 1950's and 1960's and served as the captain of the Hong Kong national team. In 1947, he joined South China. He also plated for Eastern, Kitchee, Tung Wah and Yuan Long. He represented Hong Kong at the Asian Games in 1954 and 1958. He helped Hong Kong to finish third art the 1956 Asian Cup.
CB: Chiu Chun Ming 趙俊明 (Hong Kong)
In the 1990's, he was a key player for "Eastern Dynasty". he had represented Hong Kong on numerous times.
九十年代「東方王朝」其中一名主力，更曾代表港隊參加過多項國際賽。正選司職為清道夫,個人認為, 東方憑其世界波,在亞洲冠軍球會盃, 主場以1:0擊敗日本讀賣。
CB: Lai Law Kau 賴羅球 (Hong Kong)
Lai was a member of the Hong Kong National team in the 1980's. He played for Seiko, Eastern and South China.
HB/CB: Lam Sheung Yee 林尚義 (Republic of China/Hong Kong)
As a footballer, he was nicknamed 重炮 (literally Heavy Gun) due to his powerful clearances and long-range free kicks from between 20-40 yards). Lam played for Eastern, Kitchee, 517 and Rangers. He represented Republic of China and went to the Olympics in 1968.
CB/LB: Chan Chi Keung陳志強 (Hong Kong)
Chan had played for Lai Sun, Rangers, Sing Tao and Happy Valley. He was elected into AFC All-Star Team in 1997.
LB: Lee Wai Man 李偉文 (Hong Kong)
Lee played for Eastern, Rangers, SingTao and Happy Valley. Capped 68 times and served as the captain of the Hong Kong National Team.
李偉文 曾效力東方、流浪、星島及愉園等多支港甲球會, 前香港足球代表隊隊長並以68場國際A級賽上陣紀錄。
DM: Ricky Cheng Siu Chung 鄭兆聰 (Costa Rica/Hong Kong)
Cheng moved to Costa Rica when he was 8 years old , where he began his professional career with Alajuelense. He moved back to Hong Kong in the early 1990s. He played for several Hong Kong First Division clubs including Happy Valley, Eastern, South China and Instant-Dict. At one point, he was Hong kong's most expensive player. He represent Costa Rica at the youth level, but He played for the Hong Kong national football team at the senior level.
CB/DM: Tim O'Shea 奧沙 (Ireland)
O'Shea had played for Tottenham Hotspur, Leyton Orient and Gillingham, and in Hong Kong for Instant Dict. He represented the Republic of Ireland at the 1985 FIFA World Youth Championship.
DM: Diego Eli 迪高 (Brazil)
After playing for a number of clubs in Brazil, Diego signed for Tuen Mun of Hong Kong First Division League in 2012. In the following seasons, he signing for another Hong Kong First Division League club Eastern in Hong Kong on a free transfer.
2012年9月由巴西同胞比圖引薦來香港，加盟香港甲組足球聯賽球隊屯門 。2013年9月，迪高加盟香港甲組足球聯賽球隊東方, 入選香港足球明星選舉的最佳十一人。

CM: Tsui Kwong On 徐國安 (Hong Kong)
Nicknamed "Tsui Boss", he was the captain of Eastern in the early 1980's. He also played for Sea Bee and Double Flower.
花名徐老闆, 徐國安東方80年代隊長, 還效力過海峰、花花等甲組球會。
CM: Tsang Wai Chung 曾偉忠 (Hong Kong)
Tsang started his career with Caroline Hill. In 1982, he joined Sea Bee. He also played for Eastern, Tsun Wan, Lai Sun Double Flower and Sing Tao.
CM: Ross Greer 基亞 (Australia/Hong Kong)
Greer played for Floreat Athena, Chester City, South China, Selangor, Eastern, Instant-Dict, Sorrento, Melbourne Knights and Leeming Strikers before retiring. In 1995, Greer was capped three times for the Hong Kong national football team for unofficial matches. He also played briefly for the Hong Kong national cricket team, representing Hong Kong in matches against Singapore and Thailand at the 1993 Tuanku Ja'afar Cup.

RW: Lee Kin Wo 李健和 (Hong Kong)
Started his career with Eastern. He played for many clubs, including a stint with Singapore's Geylang United. He won the Hong Kong Player of the Year three times.

RB/RW: Lo Kai Wah 羅繼華 (Hong Kong)
Lo started his career with Lai Sun. In the 1990's, he was a member of Eastern's "Dynasty" team. He also played for Instant Dict and Sing Tao and Happy Valley.
LW: Danny Lai 黎永昌 (Hong Kong)
Lai made his professional debut as a 16 years old. He played for both Eastern and South China.
有「牛奶仔」之稱的黎永昌, 他16歲開始踢甲組, 曾經多次入選香港足球代表隊, 還效力過東方、南華等甲組球會。
LW: Ho Ying Fun 何應芬 (Republic of China)
Ho played for Sing Tao, Eastern, Kitchee and South China. He represented Republic of China at the 1949 London Olympics. He won the Gold Medal at the 1958 Asian Games in Tokyo.
FW/WR: Peter Sharne 沙尼 (Australia)
He spent his entire career with NSL club Marconi. He started in 1977 until 1988. He also played on loan in Hong Kong for Eastern AA in the early 1980s for about two seasons. He was a star in the Hong Kong league where he was selected to be on the League Best XI. He was a member of Australian national team during both the 1978 and 1982 World Cup qualifying campaign. He earned 40 caps for Australia.
沙尼於1977年開始至1988年，在NSL球隊Marconi度過了整個職業生涯, 80年代初外借到香港東方, 入選香港足球明星選舉的最佳十一人。他曾代表澳洲國家隊40次, 參加1978年和1982年世界杯外圍賽。
AM: Tam Sui Wai 譚兆偉 (Hong Kong)
Tam joined Eastern in 1988 as an 18 years old. He was a part of Eastern's Great Team in the 1990's. In 1994, Tam broke the transfer record in Hong Kong when he joined Rangers.

Nixon spent most of his career playing in New Zealand. He also played for Bristol Rovers in England and Eastern in Hong Kong. Capped 4 times.
歷臣 效力過英格蘭聯賽球會布里斯托流浪, 1991年, 便加盟香港足球隊東方, 並且是1990年代初雄霸香港球壇建立「東方王朝」的一員。他曾代表新西蘭國家隊4次。
ST: Dale Tempest 譚拔士 (England)
Tempest had played for several English teams including Fulham, Huddersfield Town, Gillingham and Colchester United before arriving in Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, he played for South China and Eastern. He was the top scorer in the Hong Kong First Division League on a record five occasions (1989–90, 1990–91, 1992–93, 1993–94, 1994–95). Capped for Hong Kong 6 times.
ST: Giovane Alves da Silva 基奧雲尼 (Brazil)
Giovani played in smaller Brazilian clubs before heading to Hong Kong in 2007. In Hong Kong, he played for Sun Hei, South China and now Eastern. He had a brief stint in China. He was Hong Kong Player of the Year in 2014/2015.

-- Both Trevor Brooking Alan Ball also played briefly for Eastern.
